April is the symbolic month of renewal, as nature becomes green and colorful again in the northern hemisphere.
Unfortunately, this year the dry season has been well-named: southern Vietnam is experiencing the worst drought and saline intrusion in 90 years. 575,000 people have been short of fresh water, and China and Laos have increased the amount of water discharged from a dam to help lighten the situation.
Even if we are in HCMC and don’t immediately see the effect on our lives, we would like to encourage everyone to make an effort to save water, and to inform management if you see or detect any leaks. It is already a challenge and it will continue to be so in the future.
