Newsletter & Media » Happy Lunar New Year - Chuc Mung Nam Moi Binh Than
Posted: 2016 February, 05

There are few things that are important to know about the Lunar New Year. One of them is about the tradition of “Li Xi”. The Significance of Red Envelopes means “Giving money to children to welcome the new age on the first day of Lunar New Year”. More generally, Vietnamese people love the red color, this is the symbol of energy, happiness and good luck. Offering red packets is the way for sending good wishes and luck. The money inside is not really important, but remember, it is impolite to open a red packet in front of the person who gave it to you. However, “Li Xi” is not limited only on the first day, but can even last about a week after.
Lunar New Year of the Monkey is coming! Let’s say: CHUC MUNG NAM MOI!
